Bojan Bogdanovic has had an underrated playing career in the NBA pretty much I mean the last time I ever recall hearing from the guy was when he was in Indiana on playing with Victor Oladipo and he had that 30 something point game in which he took it at LeBron James when he was a Cavalier in the playoffs. He’s 33 years old so he wouldn’t add any youth to the Lakers but he’s the perfect target for a LeBron James kickout pass when he drives, Bojan is a proficient spot-up shooter and fits in perfectly with LeBron and Davis being that he could serve as a reliable third option. He can also play off the ball and won’t grow disgruntled due to only taking 10-13 shot attempts, Darvin Hammy wants to play a 4 out 1 in offense and Bojan would sure serve the Lakers at the top of the key, not to mention he isn’t too bad a defender both on the ball and off the ball.
Being the 3rd option on the Utah Jazz alongside Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert wouldn’t be the same as being the 3rd option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis being that Davis is an actual 2nd option as opposed to Rudy Gobert who the Jazz were forcing to be for years until they finally came to grips with Rudy never becoming a 20 and 10 machine every single night. Assuming LeBron Ramone James and Anthony Davis are healthy you really don’t need much beyond those two, it’s like having a pizza with LeBron and Davis being the cheese and sauce anything extra would just make it even more delicious. The Lakers are in good hands, they brought in a lot of young pieces and everyone is wondering which one of Swider,Pippen Jr,Gabriel,Brown Jr,Walker,or Bryant will become an x-factor for the Lakers this coming season, if I had to bet a couple benjamins I would bank on Lonnie Walker to be the one who will make a difference on both ends for the Lakers this coming season.
Not sure what acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic would mean for Russell Westbrook and whether or not he would get traded elsewhere maybe in a 3-way deal because I just don’t see why would Danny want to bring Russ over to Utah unless he plans to start him in the backcourt with Collin Sexton which wouldn’t be the worst thing to watch offensively but they’ll both be giving up over 50 points every night next season as neither could guard a elderly lady. At least I can count on Bojan Bogdanovic to knock down jumpers consistently and not have to watch Russell Westbrook waste 10 seconds on the shot clock only to drive to the rim and miss a point blank lay-up or botch a 1 handed dunk atempt. Russ does not want to accept he isn’t what he once was and seems like Darvin Ham wasn’t watching basketball in the 2010’s because Westbrook couldn’t figure it out with Durant,Harden,Beal,George, and Anthony. At one point do we just pull the plug on Westbrook? I despised Stephen A. Smith for putting his basketball career in the NBA in perspective but he was right, and I can’t stand listening to Stephen A. Smith yell and over exaggerate the smalles things just for attention.
Would I give up draft picks for Bojan Bogdanovic? Definitely 1 but not 2 no matter if Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley are included in whatever deal the Lakers choose to make with the Jazz. They gave LeBron a 2-year extension so if they are going all in with him who cares about draft picks? Draft picks are like buying a lottery scratch-off at 711, you get about 100 scratchoffs on 1 pack, you get 2-3 big hits max and the rest is just chump change. That is usually how most NBA Drafts go so I don’t comprehend why give these draft picks so much value when you have arguably the best basketball player of all-time committed to your franchise for the next 2-3 seasons and depending on how much Rob Pelinka’s wants to use his braincells over the next year or so LeBron could very well retire a Laker. We all know basketball comes down to fit and Russell Westbrook,LeBron James, and Anthony Davis is like putting a lion, tiger, and a hyena together in the same cage not a recipe for harmony I would say. They looked good for the 20 something games they played together but Darvin Ham would have to morph into Phil Jackson to win a ring with Davis,LeBron, and Westbrook not happening, till next time.
