Andre Iguodala would help the Rockets become Champions.

I’m pushing for Andre Iguodala to land with the Rockets, he would make all the difference this season not only because he can guard LeBron James he is also a play-maker,shooter, and still an above average defender. I think about him on Mike D’Antoni’s offense and he would all the freedom in the world to feed off playmakers like Harden and Westbrook who can rack up

10 assists in a heartbeat. The Rockets have a ton of 3 point shooters in House Jr,Harden,Clemons,McLemore,Tucker,Rivers, and Gordon whenever he returns. If any team could be an absolute nightmare with the addition of Andre Iguodala it would be the Rockets. The Rockets are the epitome of the NBA as far as small-ball goes and floor spacing. Russell Westbrook isn’t the same level shooter Chris Paul is but his relentless energy on the offensive end and ability to push the ball up the floor should benefit Andre Iguodala who became one of Golden State’s most potent weapons on fastbreaks serving as a lob-threat and slasher to the rim for dunks and lay-ups.

Comparing Westbrook and Harden to Thompson and Curry is completely different being that both Curry and Thompson are far from ball dominant and excel tiring out defenders with their off the ball movement and lightning quick releases coming off screens for 3’s, not to mention they shoot over 40 percent from 3 and can get up points in a hurry. Harden is far from efficient but more of a threat offensively due to his elite ball-handling and ability to gain separation from defenders with crossovers and step backs. He might be the best player in the game as far as getting his shot off the dribble and Westbrook isn’t too shabby himself. Westbrook thrives more off overwhelming his defenders with speed and explosiveness. Due to his elite athleticism he can make all the difference defensively if he buys into letting the offense run through Harden a lot like LeBron is doing with Davis. Andre Iguodala made the ultimate sacrifice on the Warriors, he was once a 3rd option alongside Webber and Iverson, he was the lead man on the Nuggets coached by George Karl where he won 57 games, anchored a Philly team with Jrue Holiday to the playoffs, and won 3 championships with Stephen Curry,Klay Thompson, and Draymmond Green.

It is really not up to him where he gets traded, Memphis will make the best trade possible and the Rockets have picks and players they could offer aside from Harden and Westbrook to entice the Grizzlies. James Harden the current franchise player of the Houston Rockets is breaking records and in my opinion a future first ballot Hall-of-Famer and all he is missing is a Larry O’Brien trophy to cap off his illustrious career. Andre Iguodala does not need the ball in his hands so he leaves Westbrook and Harden with free rein to attack defenses and the good side to this is the Rockets will always have one of Harden or Westbrook in a game throughout the playoffs. I currently do not have the Rockets as my favorite because ever since they lost Trevor Ariza who is one of the best defending wings in the game and one of the biggest reasons why they were able to push the Durant led Warriors to 7 games I feel like they have been lacking that elite defender and Andre Iguodala is just that.

To conclude I have been watching Andre Iguodala’s career since he got drafted, I never expected him to become a franchise player but I was shocked he found a home with the Warriors and became an NBA Champion by putting stardom on the backburner and focus on doing what is best for the team. Year after year we expect him to fall apart come playoff time and he always comes through, he was crucial for the Warriors in last year’s Finals against the Raptors where he stepped up in Kevin Durant’s absence filling in as a scorer and defender with an increased role. On the Rockets I think he could be their 4th scoring option behind Westbrook,Harden, and Gordon and help them with his veteran leadership on the floor. One thing I always liked about Andre Iguodala was his poise and ability to move on to the next play, he is always dialed in on both ends and makes winning plays. Hopefully Daryl Morey realizes trading for Andre Iguodala would make his mission in Houston complete.
