Don’t get it twisted I am far from perfect, I am 30 years old born 1989 and have my own life to live but when you write down your goals and stick to them you can not let the noise get in the way. It’s hard to be yourself in a society which tries to make you into something you are not, you have to be extroverted at a job you hate or filter yourself in places you do not want to be but you are there why and for what for money? Money keeps people in a routine for over 30-40 years of their life living on a fixed income instead of taking risks and looking outside the system
. There is a whole world out there but you want to settle for working a job? I’ve worked in retail,banks,credit unions,the school system, and have have done security as well. I could say I enjoyed going to one of those jobs which was the security job, because I did nothing pretty much for 7-8 hours a day but I had a paycheck coming in which allowed me to make my car payments and pay my insurance.
I am not sure how much people are in this Earth but I would like to think it ranges from 7 billion to 10 billion people and absolutely everyone is different so why are you busy comparing yourself to other people and wondering why you can’t do what they do? Look in the mirror and ask yourself what interests you, what can you do effortlessly all day and find a way to monetize it. Since I was young I always enjoyed drawing,video games, and took interest in the game of basketball in the late 90’s and I can say the NBA has been the most consistent hobby I have enjoyed through the coarse of my life. I enjoy reading about it and watching the game on TV, and it is something I grasp very easily and actually keeps my interest. Don’t worry if you don’t fit in around other people I’ve felt the same since I graduated High School and miserably went to college for 8 years studying something I could care less about, everything was off and I’d look at a lot of my classmates and a lot of them looked disinterested in school but were more than likely there because their parents wanted them to go, very rarely do people enter college because they want to, they just want the security of a job to provide for themselves.
I understand if you are young and feeling the pressure of having to live up to your parents’ expectations but understand you have the ability to distance yourself from your parents if they are not in accordance with the direction you want to take with your life. If I could save anyone the misery of college if you were never a schoolboy I will, if I put in the effort into school I am sure I would excel but I just hated having to focus my energy on something I had no interest in so through my college years I spent my time working at jobs I hated and spending money on sports cars, doing what every 20 year old should be doing, enjoying life,partying,women,cars,late night get togethers, it brought me nothing but I live a different lifestyle now which I am proud of. To whoever is reading this understand living past the age of 70 is a blessing and no one knows the future so quit wasting your time trying to please the people around you and get in the driver seat of your life.
You only get one shot at life so what I could advise you is to eliminate everything you don’t want to do in your life and start doing anything that makes you feel good, so long as you are not hurting people,robbing,or stealing do as you please. I understand some of us have families but in general no matter where you stand in life whether you are married with kids or recently divorced looking to revamp your life or maybe you are in your senior year in high school, start taking control of your life now. If you have elderly people depending on you I comprehend, I do not know your circumstances but eliminate negativity from your life as much as you can and smile as much as possible at life.
To conclude I know I expanded into different topics but overall the message is to start taking action and most of all take control of your life. If you are not in control of your life you are already losing, a major way to get going is to take control of your life. Eliminate people telling you how to live your life and if maybe they need to be set straight on what you are going to do, have that face to face talk. Have a take it or leave it attitude, you deserve to live your life being exactly who you are and chase your dreams. If you want to be a freelance writer write, start a blog or website. If you like taking pictures get an Instagram and get yourself out there, if you hate having a boss open up your own business. Grind it out for a couple years if you have to, get a couple thousand dollars together and buy your own business, if your credit is right a Bank will give you the funds to buy that business. Stop living small and settling and get uncomfortable with uncertainty, not having the security of a paycheck and brainstorm about other ways you can make money, with that said follow your heart and gut, it never fails.
