Gordon Hayward will bounce back next season.

So Hayward had an off year, came back from the devastating injury he suffered in his opening debut with the

Celtics the 2017-2018 season. He is on a $100 million dollar deal over 4 years and the pressure is on to deliver on what he is being paid.

Everyone knows Hayward most from his Utah Jazz day’s where he and Rudy Gobert made for a fantastic duo but Gordon chose to go East to Boston. I thought Kyrie Irving would consider staying in Boston since he originally wanted to play with Hayward in Cleveland before LeBron ever signed. Everyone is counting out the Celtics next season, their biggest star Kyrie Irving might be bolting to join LeBron and the Lakers or team up with D’Angelo Russell or Anthony Davis in Brooklyn.

Jaylen Brown who took a bench role this past season has been working to become a go to scorer this summer and we all saw how flawless Boston’s system looked before Kyrie Irving came back into the lineup. Kyrie Irving is dynamic but Gordon Hayward is the perfect fit for Brad’s motion offense which is similar to what Golden State runs. Next season the ball will be in Hayward’s hands again and look for him to average in the 19-23 ppg range next season with a full summer of rehab and time to mentally get ready to go all out next season.

Whether the Celtics bring back Rozier or trade for Conley which are two options the Celtics will remain a 50-60 win team next season because Hayward makes any team better. He had a solid roster in Utah but Boston boasts two up and coming stars in Tatum and Brown who both play unselfishly and neither is ball dominant. Don’t be surprised if the Celtics make the Finals next season, with Hayward in full swing and Tatum and Brown ready to take off next season the Celtics will be scary.

To conclude Hayward played under Brad at Butler so they have a good relationship,Hayward can come off screens and shoot, he could catch and shoot, he’s a great cutter, and has a very high basketball IQ. When I look at Hayward I think of the legend Maravich, the smooth ball handling and shooting just playing at their own pace. If Tatum and Brown can take a step up in their development and raise their 3 point percentages the Celtics will be formidable, they could draft stretch 5 Bol Bol or bring back Horford. And why not run Marcus Smart at the point? The Celtics would be a severe matchup on both ends for opposing teams. All the best to Gordon Hayward, he will be an all-star again next year.
