Why Does Everyone Hate Lavar Ball?

I’ve come to notice that in society those who are very outspoken and opinionated receive so much criticism. Lavar Ball is father of Lonzo Ball who was drafted #2 by the Los Angeles Lakers and chosen by former Laker great Magic Johnson to carry the Lakers into a new era. Lavar Ball is also father to LiAngelo Ball and LaMelo Ball who both signed with Lithuania, Lavar Ball hopes both his

sons showcase themselves and impress enough to hopefully find themselves in the NBA before 2020 hits.

Lavar Ball has gone as far to say that Lakers’ coach Luke Walton has lost the team and does not know how to bring out the best in his son Lonzo Ball. Lavar Ball really believes in his son and his remarks such as proclaiming his son to be better then the best point guard in the league Stephen Curry who has been a 2-time MVP so far in his career and has revitalized the Golden State Warriors franchise. All Lavar’s comments have placed immense pressure on Lonzo Ball and opponents can’t wait to make him look bad on the court, luckily Lonzo Ball has NBA level talent it will all be a matter of him settling in and blocking out the noise to succeed in the NBA.

I frankly do not have a problem with Lavar Ball, the man is entertainment and I won’t fall asleep watching the TV when he is on at least. He has started his own business named Big Baller Brand which might not be huge now but what about 2-3 years from now once Lonzo Ball settles in and gets the Lakers in the playoffs? What if both Lavar’s sons actually do get in the NBA and on the Lakers roster? Imagine the hype and media attention the Lakers would get? There is a reason Lavar Ball wanted his son to get drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, not only because they reside there but the Lakers are the most popular franchise in the NBA unless you want to make a case for the Boston Celtics or New York Knicks. When the Lakers are winning there is nothing like it and Lonzo Ball has the talent as a point guard to bring the Lakers back to prominence.

It is unbelievable how negative people are, the moment someone wants to create something and be different everyone wants to criticize and throw hate but I am sure Lavar Ball knew the criticism and hate comes with the success. The facts are if people don’t dislike you or people do not throw dirt on your name you are not living big enough and everywhere I read an article about Lavar Ball whether it is ESPN,Bleacherreport,Probasketballtalk, etc I probably see 1 positive comment out of 10 if not none towards Lavar Ball. It is sad but that is just the way life is, they call him a narcissist,a joke, I mean people just berate the guy without even knowing him personally which is unjust.

To conclude people can say what they want about the man but he is a responsible father and a married man who takes care of his wife and children, maybe he is a bit excessive with the involvement in his sons’ lives but it’s called having confidence in what he built and is currently building. Maybe what is missing in society is more individuals like Lavar Ball who actually stand up for something and have an actual voice and don’t just go with the norm, I do believe he can go a bit overboard sometimes specially with his comments towards Luke Walton which have offended one of the greats Ric Carlisle who feels Lavar should get no media attention what so ever but take a look at the roster. Some people feel Luke only has a job because of his 24-0 start with the Golden State Warriors a product which was built by Mark Jackson and Steve Kerr just took the offense to a whole other level. Everyone has their way of looking at things and everyone has an opinion, Lavar Ball knows that but all the hate will turn into praise in the future.
