Isaiah debuted with a 16 point performance off the bench and looked aggressive driving to the basket even after having 7 months off
with a hip injury. I have a good vision for the game and saw what happened the last Finals, everyone has their point of view of looking at things but I saw what lead to the Cavs losing.
They simply got nothing from the bench, Kyle Korver was erratic and out of rhythm and Deron Williams failed to contribute much but 3 points all series. Tristan Thompson a tenacious rebounder and defender got out-rebounded and beat at his own strengths by Stephen Curry, Curry was relentlessly going after offensive boards all series.
Back to Isaiah though who lead the Celtics to 53 wins with pretty much Bradley,Crowder, and Horford playing under Brad Stevens who is as good a coach as there is. Thomas was a second team All-NBA player last season and averaged 28 ppg, on the Cavs he won’t have to be a focal point on offense.
You give Isaiah Thomas this amount of shooters and the ability to play with one of the most unselfish superstars the league has ever seen in Lebron you will have a great shot at a title. Most people would argue Kyrie is better but it is about the fit more, Isaiah is a better decision maker then Kyrie and does well at kicking the ball out to shooters instead of forcing up ill-advised shots a lot like Kyrie did against Golden State.
It became a two man attack with Irving and Lebron ever since the 2016 Finals, this time around the Cavs have what could be a 10 man rotation and multiple forwards to help Lebron on defense in Crowder and Green. Isaiah and Crowder already have chemistry on the floor which is a plus and neither has an ego or is worried about not being able to play second fiddle to Lebron.
Wade is not coming off the bench scoring 3 points all series either, he also has chemistry with Lebron going back to the Heat runs 2010-2014. Isaiah and Lebron both are very similar and are both family man with similar values and beliefs when it comes to life and basketball, if you ever read my post remember I said Cavaliers in 6 in the NBA Finals and both Isaiah and Lebron will re-sign in Cleveland.
