Lebron James might be headed to the Clippers.

So Lebron buys a second mansion in Los Angeles, Jerry West is running the show on the Clippers, wasn’t Jerry West responsible for building the Kobe-Shaq Lakers during the early 2000’s, trading Vlade Divac for Kobe Bryant and signing free-agent Shaquille O’Neal? Jerry West was brought to the Clippers to build a winner and bringing in Lebron James would be a really good way to get that winner started.

Lebron James with his current roster assuming Isaiah Thomas comes back to playing at the level he played last season accompanied by fellow new acquisitions Jae Crowder,Jeff Green, and Lebron James’s long time ally Dwyane Wade could give the Cavaliers one more run at the Western Conference juggernaut the Golden State Warriors. They have better depth on the bench this season and multiple forwards to alleviate immense defensive pressure off Lebron James in Jae Crowder and Jeff Green who both serve as better options then long time veteran Richard Jefferson who is no longer on the team.

The Boston Celtics are surging led by Kyrie Irving and a Popovich like offense coached by Brad Stevens. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are developing very nicely alongside superstar Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward is off his walking boot, this Boston team as is defeated the Golden State Warriors and showed they can compete with them and defend them. Can they beat the Warriors if Gordon Hayward comes back for the playoffs? Maybe they can and Lebron’s chances against that Boston team are good but he would be no lock to beat them.

Let’s look at the Clippers, DeAndre Jordan is up for free-agency so the Clippers must decide whether they will move him and look to extend his contract to keep him as a Clipper. All-Star Blake Giffin is out for another 1-2 months with an injury but is a piece if healthy that Lebron James would love to play with. A forward who can stretch the floor, make plays from the top of the key and can play the 4 and 5 in this small-ball era. To bring in Lebron James certain contracts might have to be moved, possible Danilo Gallinari’s and Lou Williams’s but Jerry West will figure that out when the time comes and evaluate who stays and who goes.

Milos Teodosic is an intriguing rookie who no one is talking about, might be just as good a passer as Lonzo Ball and floor leader only he is a lot older but Milos Teodosic is very impressive. The Clippers are 2-0 ever since he returned to the starting lineup and Deandre Jordan has been thriving because the ball is moving around a lot more and Lou Williams has a great connection with DeAndre Jordan. Why wouldn’t Lebron want to play with a guard like Milos Teodosic who can shoot from the perimeter and is a world class passer who makes everyone better on the floor?

In conclusion,Lebron James can attempt to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy in other different ways, he can sign with the Clippers and bring a championship to a franchise which has not been anywhere past the second round and has only been a playoff team 9 times since 1984. He would reside in LA with his family where he has 2 mansions and can continue adding to his legendary legacy. He brought Cleveland their first championship in franchise history, imagine he does it for the Clippers who has long been seen as the laughingstock of the NBA? It would be hard to turn down.
