Fred Hoiberg has inserted Valentine into the starting lineup and he had a solid all around game with 18 points and 6 assists. He definitely has confidence in his shot and makes
the Bulls offensive attack alot more dangerous. Kris Dunn logged 22 of his own off the bench and I believe we are starting to see what the Bulls franchise is gearing towards, they chose Fred Hoiberg over Jimmy Butler and I see the plan.
The Bulls must be salivating at drafting a center like Bamba or Ayton to put alongside Lauri Markkanen who has all the makings of an all-star once he fills out a bit more and gets more experience as the season rolls on. Back to Denzel though who a week ago said he wanted more playing time because he was confident he could bring production and perform, Denzel Valentine might be in for Devin Booker surge because Devin never really got going until the Suns gave him 20-30 minutes a night.
Denzel Valentine stands at 6’6, a bit undersized for the SF position but he’s still developing and could definitely be the small forward the Bulls need going into the future. I’m expecting Lavine to make a full recovery and be one of the Bulls’ cornerstones. Fred needs to consistently play Valentine at the 3 because he has confidence something number 2 draft pick Lonzo Ball is struggling with right now.
